Recollection from YISS ' 06

yipee..to the next post!
But I am facing a struggle..trying to upload images..of myself and friends!
Weird...Something is either wrong with me..the IT nerd or moi comp...

O ya..actually pior to this blog, I ever blogged before..in my lovable MAGNIFICENT BLOG!
I'll just cut n paste from there for those who haven seen it yet..
Here it goes:

(First Post soon after YISS 2006!)

Its been almost a mth since our yi experience..and surprisingly I am still so excited to learn more abt GOD!Everyday, I sing, dance, smile, pray and give thanks to HIM becuz he makes me whole!Spiritual life is indeed quite a journey...there r times I feel so gd but yet sometimes i sulk n wonder y.But everytime i start thinking negative or feeling low, I think about all of u.I am serious, the group sharings and brother/sisterhoods you guys shower me reminds me of how great GOD's love is for me.

O yes, I just went through my rite of acceptance and got my bible for the first time!!How exciting can it be!I'll most likely bury myself in the bible n skip the library for romance novels..ha..Actually from the camp up till today, I have experienced GOD in so many wonderful ways.I will share the most recent one..

A couple of days ago, I had a dream. In the dream, i spoke in tongues! And to make things even more magical, i woke up n continued speaking in tongues and fell asleep with it. The next day, I woke up but forgot all abt the dream. Only when i chatted wif a fren on the phone n was sharing my yi experience with her, then i remembered abt my dream.I shared this dream with my parish father. He said, "GOD has given u a present and he will never take it back or punished u if u dun use it." And his parting words to me was," DO NOT FEAR"!

wow, i was realli blown away by it becuz i was indeed feeling fearful of this n that..and now, I hope all of u can help me pray that I continue to seek and hopefully be able to speak in tongues when im nt sleeping but praying..thanks!O yesh, my parish father always stresses on this: To keep your faith alive, you must find your faith in Christ challenging! For me, I believe the first step is to b in a community, together we can grow, share and help one another learn and receive more n more things GOD wants to give us.Special thanks to Paul for setting up the cell group! At the recent cell group, although there were a couple of new faces and things were a lil awkard but the sharing was a blast!

And talking about that, I wana share something quite silly.Once i was eating dinner wif a fren and as usual i eat quite fast rite? So i look at the windows and smile. My fren who was cheewing her food away shrieked!"pris, r u mad?y r u smiling to the window when it is pitch dark outside!" Guess wats my reply?I smiled n giggled," GOD LOVES ME AND I LOVE HIM!"

She stopped eating n laughed till her stomach crack. But to me..i was feeling extremely peaceful n veri blessed to know GOD.

(Second post-in the midst of my RCIA course)

Anyway..I just came back frm my rcia retreat..and it was indeed a truely amazing experience where I felt GOD's passionate love for me again:)Praise the lord! So here I am to share what I encountered!

Earlier last year at yiss camp..I remembered Paul telling me about a vision of me being inside a cage or jail..but he mentioned the door is unlocked. At that point of time, I was feeling confused, flustered and broke down in the end.I went on with life having the highs and lows but I faithfully attended masses, classes and also try to attend cells to keep my spiritual fire burning. It worked and I knew my relationship with God has deepened.

Next, I helped out at the sjc retreat..so I happily attended the prep facil mini retreat. Ahz...after some lady that I do not know prayed over me(now i noe her!SHE IS NATALIE LU), she ended the prayer by telling me she has a word for me. I was shocked and excited. She said," I saw a key".Oooo..immediately I linked it to the cage Paul mentioned. But I was still clueless and continued leading my life as usual without asking GOD what it all meant.

So this weekend, at my rcia retreat...it was a time for us to really talk and get close to GOD and ask him if we were ready to say YES. I went to the prayer room and decided to ask HIM what the jail and the key meant? I knew that I have the WAY but what can I do or where do I go from there? It puzzled me really badly.

So I prayed and asked for him to give me a word or a sign. And as many of u have mentioned, the bible is the word of the Lord. So I took my bible and flipped it with hope that HE will give me an answer.WOW!Amazingly, I flipped to matthew 28:52-53 and here is the phrase,"tombs were opened, and several holy people who had died were raised to life. They came out of the tombs after the resurrection of Jesus, entered the Holy City and appeared to many."

Although it took me a few reads, I slowly come to realise that God had not only show me the WAY, but the TRUTH is that GOD loves me so much that he died for me and upon knowing this, I as a soon-to-be christian will spread the good news and be christ-like to the people around me for the rest of my LIFE!With GOD's grace, I feel so blessed, honoured to be chosen and called to him.
