A Timely Wake Up Call

Never have i left cell feeling so light and springy! My dancy footsteps and smiles were scattered everywhere i went..wahha..abit drama! Sat came..everything was going on smoothly. When i cycle to teach tuition, the traffic lights were green all the way, my kids behaved and did their work, i cut my hair and even got a promo discount, and my parents came home early and let me use the car, and Paul called me to ask how i was doing. Wah..such a g-o-o-d dayyy..

As i travelled from home to olps in the car, the traffic was smooth too..reached and skipped into ado room. Those who have been to olps church will know..its quite rare for the ado room to be empty on a sat evening. So when i went in, someone walked out and there i was alone with Daddy GOD.

I began talking and praying and telling GOD how miserable and low i felt..how i wished things could be different, how this and that. Then i told GOD i could not feel his presence and his love. I prayed and asked for an outpouring of HIS love on me. And i heard," bow your head and keep still." I did that and was asked to look up again. Guess what, i began to laugh and giggle like there was no tomorrow!I could not control my mouth and i laughed and teared all at once..and my mouth was soo dumb with smiles and i was just so filled with GOD's love. AH..i looked around..hoping no one will be freaked out by my sudden reaction.

Still no one was in the room. Just then, i saw a lighthouse. And GOD said," You are the Light of the World."

I left the room feeling so loved and went for the session! Cheers to Marlene, audrey for such an amazing session. Their love for GOD was shining through their smiles as they feed us on the different seasons one might go through in life. The session was so hearfelt and delicious snacks kept us so filled. The best part of the session was the self reflection notes. On top of the shelves were many daily devotional messages that marlene printed out. We were told to pick anyone that touches our heart or we can pick any randomly.

After seeing a few titles, one grabbed my attention. "GOD HAS ANOTHER PLAN"...ah many have told me pris, GOD has great plans for you and so on. But i thought...why am i still feeling so shitty. Upon reading it, wah its really the biggest wake up call ever!!!And the message is soo clear and in my face! There are a few phrases which really woke me up.

1. When God allows one door to close, He will open another door for you, revealing something bigger and better.

2. Shake yourself out of that "should have, could have, would have" mentality, and don't let the regrets of yesterday destroy the hopes and dreams of tomorrow.

3. Perhaps God is asking you a similar question today: " How long are you going to mourn over that failed relationship?" "How long are you going to mourn over your broken dreams?" That's the problem with excessive mourning. When we focus on our disappointments, we stop God from bringing fresh new blessings into our lives.

4. God wants to take those disappointments and turn them into reappointments.

5. God always can come up with another plan. Notice what God told Samuel to do. Fill your horn with oil. Have a fresh attitude. Put a smile on your face. Get the spring back in your step and be on your way.

Remembering the lighthouse God shown me, the oil was to anoint and give me new lease of life!Next, i decided to pen down something i have learnt..but i dunno what to write.. Just then, God told me to draw a key and i did. And he gave me inspiration to write down all the doors the key will open to.

Praise GOD...and another beautiful testi i wana share is how in the midst of my own restoration. I was prompted by the Lord to keep praying in tongues. Never have i prayed in tongues so much during a session. After the session ended, i received a sms from a friend asking for prayers. The holy spirit guided me and i am so blessed to be an instrument of GOD.

-A prayer for your best life now-
Although I've been disappointed by other people and events in the past, Father, I am going to keep expecting blessings and good things in the future, because of You.
